OUR INVESTMENT CRITERIA

 NIN Ventures Technology (QP) Fund will primarily invest in emerging technology companies within AI (E.g. Robotics, Fintech, etc.), 3D Printing, Industry 4.0, Space Tech, Ed Tech, Cloud, etc., within the United States. The fund generally will invest $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 in early / growth stage companies as a part of a syndicate or lead investor in case of smaller deals. The fund may also invest in later-stage deals when it matches our investment focus and where we can deliver significant value-add.


We prioritize founder-first investing, recognizing that exceptional teams are the primary driver of venture success. In a landscape with over 70,000 active startups in the United States (as of 2025), we evaluate opportunities based on the following core criteria:


Founder First: We bet on entrepreneurs who dream big with scalable ideas, exhibit strong personality traits (resilience, vision), and demonstrate a disciplined work ethic. Industry expertise or the ability to assemble complementary teams is essential. Ultimately, the team's strategic flexibility and execution determine long-term outcomes.


Industry Outliers: Technology is the heart of any company. We look for innovations that change the way an existing industry functions, also help establish a new market and value network, displacing an earlier technology or a way of doing business. We believe in first-mover advantage in situations where the potential for category leadership is clear.


Unique Business Model: Breakthrough technology must be paired with a defensible, scalable revenue model that drives customer adoption and path to profitability.


Competitive Landscape: We conduct a thorough analysis of market dynamics, product differentiation, barriers to entry, and risks/rewards. Product-market fit, early traction (e.g., customer validation, usage metrics), and scalability are critical.


Financials & Execution Strategy: An amazing entrepreneur with a creative technology, a solid revenue model, and a good knowledge of the competitive landscape goes to waste if the company does not communicate effectively or has a poor execution strategy. Having a clear financial plan and understanding of metrics, i.e., growth and burn rates, is a bonus.
